Jul 03,2008 (Foods1.com) -- Iran's output of canned tuna to the latest data shows that in the past seven years in Iran's tuna production showed rapid growth trend. In fact, since 2000, Iran canned tuna factory output increased by three times, but still shows no signs of decline.

2006 in Iran canned tuna production was 84,000 tons, an increase of 22 percent. Iran canned tuna of the world's canned tuna production by 5%. This means that Iran has become after Thailand, Spain, the United States and Ecuador after the world's fifth-largest canned tuna processing.
